Elephant Plains Game Lodge

Day 1-4

Sabi Sand Game Reserve, South Africa

Arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, and Fly to Eastgate Airport, Hoedspruit. Stay at the Elephant Plains Game Lodge: Luxury Suite, Including all meals, morning and evening game drives, bush walks, sundowner drinks, tea and coffee.

Photography Focus: Morning and afternoon game drives with a focus on composition and lighting. Bush walks for close-up shots of smaller wildlife, plants and tracks. Discussion of animal behaviour to predict good shots. Learn techniques for capturing detailed textures and patterns.

Day 5-7

Okavango Delta, Botswana

Fly to Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe via a chartered flight. Little Makalolo Camp will be your base for the next two nights. Stay at the Wilderness Mombo: Standard room, includes all meals.

Photography Focus: Boat/mokoro safaris to capture water-loving wildlife and scenic delta landscapes. The water reflections and unique angles are perfect for bird photography. Tips on framing wildlife like elephants and hippos against water backdrops. Learn how to shoot through reeds and over water for striking images.

Wilderness Little Makalolo Camp

Day 8 & 9

Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

Fly to Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe via a chartered flight. Little Makalolo Camp will be your base for the next two nights.

Stay at the Wilderness Little Makalolo Camp: Standard tent, includes all meals.

Photography Focus: Get close-up shots of Hwange's famous elephant herds. Night safari for nocturnal photography. Practice long exposure photography for capturing the stars and nocturnal animals.

Day 10-11

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

Fly to South Luangwa National Park in Zambia via a chartered flight to Mfuwe Airport, followed by a road transfer. Settle into Chinzombo Lodge which is located on the on the confluence of the main Zambezi and Chongwe Rivers.

Stay at Chinzombo Lodge: Luxury room, includes all meals.

Photography Focus: Wide-angle shots of the African savannah at sunrise, capturing both wildlife and the landscape. Guided walk to photograph smaller wildlife, with emphasis on composition and use of natural light.

Day 12-14

Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya

Fly from Lusaka to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya via Nairobi. Spend the afternoon relaxing at Angama Mara Lodge before the last two days of your photographic safari.

Stay at Angama Mara Lodge: Luxury room, includes all meals.

Photography Focus: Game drives on the vast plains of the Maasai Mara to witness the herds of wildebeest and zebras. Capture the scale of the landscape and large herds, with guidance on framing and long-range photography. With predators like cheetahs ever present, learn the best settings for action shots. Morning hot air balloon ride for aerial shots of the Maasi Mara. Capturing the vast plains from above in the early morning light.
